CBMT27 – Maple Pro Wood Baseball Bat

Our CBMT27 – Maple Pro Wood Baseball Bat is finished in a Matte Olive barrel, Matte Black handle, with a Black Flag logo. It is the most balanced bat with a traditional knob that Cooperstown Bat produces. It has a medium-long barrel with a long taper that transitions to a medium sized handle and traditional knob.   The CBMT27 bat, due to the traditional knob and medium-long barrel, would be a great bat for players transitioning from metal to wood baseball bats and those who like the feel of the traditional handle.  Use our How to Choose a Wood Bat tool to assist you in determining if this is the right model for you.

Every Cooperstown Bat Pro Maple and Birch Bat will include an Ink Dot on the handle of the bat.  This is a measurement for straightness of tangential grain and a requirement for every bat used in professional baseball.  Every bat must be between 0-3 degrees of straight up the handle of the bat to be considered eligible for major league play.  Our hand-split billets are the most important factor in our bats meeting this requirement.  We feel so strongly about the quality of our wood that we include the ink dot on all of our bats for game use, including our youth models.

Our CBMT27 – Maple Pro Wood Baseball Bat is “Crafted for Excellence” from “Forest to Field”.   Forest to Field means that Cooperstown Bat begins making all of our bats from the log.  Because of this, we are able to monitor the wood quality throughout the process.  We begin with hand splitting the logs so that the tangental grain, the strong straight grain, stays within the split.  All of our wood is vacuum kiln dried.  Each piece of wood is handled individually multiple times as it graded for grain and weight to ensure that your bat will perform at it’s best.
